How long does the assessment take?

Can I update the score later?
Yes. A new assessment can be completed later so you can compare progress over time and keep the report current.
Does it replace a formal AI governance review?
No. It helps you identify practical next steps, but organisations with higher-risk AI use should still consider a fuller governance, legal, security or data protection review.
Should I create an AI policy first?
The readiness assessment works best when it follows the AI policy generator, because the policy questions capture useful context about tools, data, review and responsibilities.
